As stated, some exotic hardwoods are naturally designed to withstand water. In fact, some of the timbers only do well in wet conditions. If they are put to use in very dry areas, they will crack; however, if they are put in water or in moist environments, they will remain strong. These are some of the characteristic traits of exotic tropical hardwoods that are often overlooked or misunderstood. We are here to give advice based on our experiences with these materials and see to it that you do not unknowingly use the wrong species when you are creating your design.
You will notice that some of the timber that we offer can come into direct contact with water. These hardwoods are a natural and chemical free way to build a very stable and long lasting dock, bridge or retaining wall.
